DirectTrack Affiliate Platform Now Claiming Failure Was Scheduled Maintenance

Nearly 48 hours after their original crash, we have learned that there are still networks dealing with significant or total network outage. As reported yesterday: DirectTrack Affiliate Tracking Goes Down, DirectTrack reported a massive SANS storage failure. Many insiders have pointed out that this type of failure is very uncommon, especially when most all major modern systems have multiple points of redundancy and backup plans in-case something like this happens.

What makes this even more crazy is that DirectTrack, while issuing a statement that there was a failure, also claims something completely different on its site. According to its website, and a Google confirming it, DirectTrack is claiming that this was all a “Scheduled Maintenance.” This raises many more questions than answers.

Rumors are starting to circulate that a few of DirectTrack’s largest CPA Networks have already made plans to move from DirectTrack to another tracking platform. Bet they wish they had a backup system in place now. Oh how the giants fall.
